1. Finding Verified Suppliers

Use category filters, HS code search, and verified supplier badges to shortlist compliant exporters. Always check export history, certifications, and factory capacity.

  • Check export markets served
  • Review production capacity & MOQ
  • Verify certifications (ISO, OEKO-TEX, HACCP etc.)
  • Request factory documentation

2. HS Codes & Trade Compliance

Identify the correct HS code to calculate duties, check import restrictions, and prepare documentation. Incorrect codes may cause customs delays or penalties.

  • Confirm HS code with supplier
  • Check destination country duty rates
  • Ensure compliance certificates are available

3. Samples & MOQ Negotiation

Request samples before confirming bulk orders. Discuss sample cost, courier method, and lead time clearly.

  • Clarify whether sample cost is refundable
  • Agree on production timeline
  • Define packaging requirements early

4. Shipping & Incoterms

Choose the appropriate Incoterm (FOB, CIF, EXW) depending on your logistics capability and risk tolerance.

  • FOB – Supplier handles export clearance
  • CIF – Includes freight & insurance
  • EXW – Buyer manages full logistics

5. Payments & Letters of Credit (LC)

Payment terms depend on order size and relationship history. Common options include TT advance, LC at sight, and partial advance with balance against documents.

  • Small orders: TT advance
  • Large orders: LC preferred
  • Always verify bank details carefully
